SUSTO – “Mermaid Vampire”

“Mermaid Vampire” is the newest single from SUSTO, released on July 14 as the third single from their upcoming fifth studio album, My Entire Life. The new album is set for release in less than two weeks, on Friday, July 28.

While some of the tracks on this album capture deep and difficult topics like mental health, death, and the loss of friendship, “Mermaid Vampire” is two minutes of pure fun.

The track opens with a howl and a thick bassline, leading into an arrangement that is very modern alternative rock, with a sound reminiscent of acts like Cage the Elephant and the White Stripes. Meanwhile, Justin sings about searching the ocean for a multi-talented fantasy woman who is a combination of mermaid, vampire, and rock star.

SUSTO will perform a homecoming show at the Refinery on September 2nd with support from Big Something and Easy Honey. We are currently lobbying for cheaper beer prices at the Refinery for this show and we will report back with results. Tickets here.
