Gotti Da Ghost – “Move Sum’n”

Rapper Gotti Da Ghost released a new single, “Move Sum’n,” on Friday. It’s the artist’s latest drop since “Duplin Wine,” which came out this summer.

“Move Sum’n” centers around a feeling many of us know well: the desire to let off some steam at the end of the week.

“I just got off work and I’m feeling kinda nice / I been waiting all week just to see Friday night / And I’m trying to get right / I ain’t tryin to stay at home,” Ghost raps. The song goes on to describe a phone call from a friend inviting Ghost to a party.

“Move Sum’n” is repeated throughout the track, and it’s clear that Ghost values action; doing something, even if that’s only heading out for the night and flirting with someone at a party.

“Even if you struggling and going through sum’n / You forget about your problems the moment you move sum’n,” he continues, a reminder that sometimes the quickest way to leave the bullshit behind is to go have a good time.

“Move Sum’n” was produced by Raleigh-based DJ Keytronikz and is the next single off Gotti Da Ghost’s upcoming album Baptism By Fire, which is tentatively scheduled to drop sometime in the winter of 2023. Stream the track below.
