Sexbruise? – “Who the F**k Are You?” (Video)

Charleston comedy-pop act Sexbruise? recently dropped a new single called “Who The Fuck Are You?”. The new single finds an electronic groove while the lyrics depict a situation that is all-too-familiar, especially in a small, boozy city like Charleston: running into someone who seems to know who you are, but whom you don’t recognize at all.

Now the track has been paired with a music video crafted by Joel Schooling, who also made their semi-viral “Ford Taurus” video earlier this year, featuring a hilarious intro by Tony Cavalero of The Righteous Gemstones.

Personally, it took me a long time to come around to the “Sexbruise? is awesome” train but at this point I am fully on board. Their more recent material has been nothing short of hilarious, including the “Who the Fuck Are You?” video, but especially their recent hobby of Rick Rolling audiences at music festivals around the country.

For example, at Hulaween last year, Sexbruise? began playing, very seriously, Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name Of”. However, upon reaching the chorus they took a hard left turn and instead moved seamlessly into “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley.

Obviously they can’t do this every show because it would become predictable, but damn is it a good bit while the novelty lasts.

Rejoice over the non-recognition of strangers at your local watering hole by watching the “Who the Fuck Are You?” video below, and stay tuned for more antics from Sexbruise?, whose next local show is September 23rd at The Refinery for the Homegrown Holy City Fest.
