Human Resources – “cameron ave”

Human Resources have just dropped a new single called “cameron ave” that might remind you of happier times, back when we could still party with our friends. “cameron ave” has the band taking full advantage of the new Coast Records studio space, which drummer/producer Matt Zutell upgraded to from the former downtown location earlier this year. Each new release to come from the band lately has featured more exploratory production elements, which gives the music a very modern and almost futuristic feel at points. We even hear a shoutout to their previous single, another bop, “Girlfriend’s House”.

In addition to the new tunes, Human Resources also had one of their older songs garner some attention this year when it was chosen to be featured in a commercial for the 2020 Nissan Rogue. The band’s longstanding most-streamed track, “Queen”, off their 2015 debut album En Route plays while the marketing department at Nissan tries to sell you a car. I’ve now got three brand new Nissan Rogues sitting in my driveway and I’m going to be in debt for the rest of my life.
