Kickback at The Farm: Eighty Seven Nights, Easy Honey, Tennis Courts, and Wub2Wub

It’s always cool to see local bands take the stage at the Music Farm, since the venue normally has a focus on touring artists. Charleston bands Eighty Seven Nights, Easy Honey, and Tennis Courts are lined up to take that stage this coming Thursday, April 11th, followed by a closing DJ set from Wub 2 Wub.

Headliner Eighty Seven Nights have yet to release any official music, but I have seen them live a few times and I’d place their sound somewhere in the ballpark of a band like Twin Peaks. They’ve been coming up mostly through the College of Charleston circuit, playing events like 1770 Record’s 2018 Boat Show and a recent fundraiser organized by CofC’s Chi O sorority, but they’re no stranger to less college-centric places like The Royal American and The Purple Buffalo. Check out some of their live stuff on Youtube here.

Easy Honey first entered our radar when they were on The Fringe about a year ago, and their self-titled debut came in at number 16 on our Best SC Albums of 2018 list. They’ve got a really versatile rock sound that allows them to resonate with both the jam crowd at The Pour House and the indie crowd at The Royal American, and they’ve done well on bills with bands like Funk You, Schema, Rare Creatures, Youngster, and Argot. Check out their live sessions at Fairweather Studio here, courtesy of our pals B-Side Sessions.

Advance tickets are $10 and available here. $12 day-of tickets, with a $3 surcharge at the door if you’re under 21. The bands are also selling tickets for cash in-person, so hit one of them up if you want to save on ticket fees. Doors at 7pm, show at 8.
