Black Nicholson – “International Treasure”

Charleston’s bedroom treasure Black Nicholson released another new bop last week called “International Treasure”. As always, Black Nicholson works his bedroom magic using only an iPhone to record all of his songs, with all instruments played himself. He’s been coming up with all sorts of retro lo-fi tunes over the past year or so, with each one experimenting with different vibes.

“International Treasure” brings the hip-hop vibe, and Black Nicholson even throws in some rapped vocals for the first time across all of these singles thus far. You definitely wouldn’t call it a rap song, though, just a really laid-back, free-flowing track that finds itself grounded in hip-hop-inspired repetition in the drums and bass. Thus making for yet another cool song from one of the coolest artists on our radar right now.
