Seth G. – “Penny Jar” ft. Huck Tim

Seth G. is one of my favorite new discoveries in the Charleston music scene. He absolutely rips on violin, and his music has a unique style that mixes violin with hip-hop and electronic production, plus an overall message of positivity. Just one week after releasing the powerful music video for his collaborative project “A Time For Change”, which features contributions from 12 different Charleston musicians, Seth is back again with another new single called “Penny Jar”.

“Penny Jar” features trombone and a verse from Huck Tim, who was also featured on “A Time For Change” and has worked on several songs with Seth G. over the past couple of years. “Penny Jar” isn’t quite the powerful statement of “A Time For Change”, but it doesn’t try to be. It’s an uplifting song about continuing to press on even when life doesn’t seem to be going your way, because there’s always better times around the corner.
