On Tuesday, September 12th, North Carolina-based rock band The Nude Party returned to the Charleston Pour House, bringing their newest album Rides On.

Opener Lady Apple Tree kicked things off, and then The Nude Party hit the stage before a noticeably large Tuesday night crowd, sporting their finest Canadian tuxedos, names stitched into collars, bedazzled with flowers and reptiles.

With the new album released in March, The Nude Party performed mostly material off the new record, but fans were still treated with old favorites from 2020’s Midnight Manor and the group’s 2018 self-titled debut.

Each member brought their own distinct sound and groove, yet they still manage to jam together harmoniously. This makes for a captivating stage presence, from frontman Patton Magee’s crisp vocals and striking resemblance to Jim Morrison, to Alec Castillo’s dropping low to the floor while still keeping his bass in sync.

Even Lady Apple Tree joined in the excitement, returning to the stage midway through for a sit-in, adding another layer to a performance we will not soon forget.

The Nude Party Rides On along the East Coast through the end of October. Full tour dates here.
