Invisible Low End Power Announces Debut Album, SPACEPRINTS, Drops Single “HyperFlex”

Wolfgang Zimmerman is a name that you could be familiar with for any number of reasons. Some might know him first as the drummer in Brave Baby, while others might recognize him as SUSTO’s longtime producer.

More recent tune-ins may recognize the name from his production work with Band of Horses and Futurebirds. Even more recently, you might have caught him drumming with She Returns From War at High Water or Extra Chill Fest.

However, Wolfgang also has a recording project and band of his own, called Invisible Low End Power. The project has flown under the radar since its debut with “Paper Trails” on the Scene SC Sampler in 2018, with just a handful of performances around town per year and very few actual releases.

That’s all about to change, though. For the past six years, Wolfgang has been meticulously crafting the full-length debut album from Invisible Low End Power, SPACEPRINTS, between managing personal life, family, and a busy recording schedule at his studio The Space.

The album is finally complete and it is now being prepared for release this October.

The lead single, “HyperFlex (Golden State of Mind)” arrived on Tuesday, August 22 and introduces the presence that is Invisible Low End Power. The release comes in advance of the band’s upcoming performance at the Royal American this Friday, August 25th with Numbtongue and The Mobros.

“HyperFlex” has a vibrant swagger that draws you in with strong bass and drum hits, and keeps you there with clashing cymbals and melodic synths. Wolfgang’s vocals are awash with reverb but crisp and vigorous, giving credence to both the self-production and the vocal performance itself.

This is the first of several singles to come from Invisible Low End Power leading up to the album release and special performances planned for October.
