2 Slices – “Meltdown” (Video)

Psych-pop outfit 2 Slices released a new single, “Meltdown,” on Friday, along with a music video shot by Taylor Hickman of bsides. It’s the band’s first release since their 2020 album, Vision of 2, and was recorded at The Space with Wolfgang Zimmerman.

The video features band members in various states of delusion, confronting body doubles of themselves, and also shows the group performing a raucous house show. Sonically, “Meltdown” exudes this chaotic energy, with lines sung quickly and lots of guitar sound. It reads as more “rock” than some earlier 2 Slices releases, but remains true to their fun, synth-beat roots.
