This Wednesday is the official launch party for Jyve, a new app that has the potential to change the way bands and venues book their shows. Jyve was an idea thought up two years ago by then-College of Charleston student and musician Brandon Brooks, who has been working non-stop to make this app come alive. He and his small team have put in countless hours giving Jyve a heartbeat, and now it is finally ready for launch. That calls for a celebration, if you ask me.
The launch party will take place at Bar Mash at the Cigar Factory on East Bay this Wednesday from 6-8pm. There will be a DJ set from Thomas Kenney of Terraphonics, and drink specials will include $3 Craft Cans, $2 Coors Banquets, and $3 Whiskey of the week. It’s going to be a great time, and you’ll have a chance to meet the minds behind Jyve as well as learn more about the app. Follow Jyve on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay up-to-date on what they’ve got in store for us.
As a bonus, here’s a little video from Terraphonics, grooving on “Crossing the Mahgreb” live at the Pour House a few weeks back. That’s Brandon on the drums, and DJ Kenney on guitar. Enjoy, and see you at the Jyve launch party!
