Girl Pluto – “Acid”

Psych-folk duo Girl Pluto dropped a new single, “Acid,” on Friday. It’s the follow-up to their debut release “Can’t Move,” which Extra Chill covered earlier this year. 

“Acid” begins with the gentle plucking of strings. Brooke Garwood’s voice is warm and inviting as she sings about losing her mind but grinning all the while. The lyrics describe a psychedelic experience, presenting images of glowing eyes and color-changing rooms. The background soundscape is ethereal, and Emma Dooley’s violin creates an expanse of sound and vibration.
