Charleston Recording Studio The Lab to Give Away Free Studio Time

Over the past few months, the crew at Johns Island recording studio The Lab have been hard at work upgrading their gear as well as their website. While the studio has always been known for producing quality music, with Walter Brown and Baby Yaga both having recorded there, the recent upgrades to their gear bring things to the next level.

Now, in celebration of the upgrades, which includes high end microphones, luxury preamps, vintage compressors, and analog master busses, the studio is celebrating by giving away THREE slots of free studio time.

Each of the studio’s engineers will be offering a free session, with slightly different parameters based on each of their specialties. Founder Matt Tuton is offering a full session mix and master. Engineer Daniel Hershenson will contribute a vocal recording and mixing session. David J Edwards will be recording and mixing a full band session.

This is quite a generous offering from the studio, and a great opportunity for an up-and-coming artist to get themselves some high quality recordings on a limited budget. Plus, you’ll get to check out the new-and-improved studio!
