The Royal American Returns to Live Music with Nordista Freeze and Daddy’s Beemer

The Royal American make their long-awaited return to hosting shows this coming Friday, May 14th, with none other than Nordista Freeze and Daddy’s Beemer, joined by Savannah’s Reverend Bro Diddley and The Hips. This is the first proper Royal American show since March of 2020, and is one big sign that the Charleston music scene is rising from the dead.

Some of you may recall the madness that ensued the last time Nashville’s Nordista Freeze stepped on stage at the Royal American, at the Extra Chill Leap Year Jamboree back in February 2020. That night Freeze performed for a wild sold-out crowd and squashed his ongoing beef with Daddy’s Beemer during an epic encore performance. Now the two former nemeses join forces to give a warm welcome back to live music at the Royal American!

In addition to being free of their beef with Nordista Freeze (and Extra Chill, for that matter), Daddy’s Beemer are also boasting their new album, Denmark, which was released back in July. They’ve also been writing and recording even more new music, and I’m sure they’re itching to play all of this stuff live given the long and forced absence from performance.

The show starts at 9pm on Friday night, and tickets are $10 at the door with limited capacity. Masks and temperature checks required for entry. See y’all there!

P.S. – We’ve also got a few tricks up our sleeves involving the Royal American this summer. Stay tuned…
