John Brewster – “People Are The World” (COVID Relief Session)

Earlier this quarantine, our pal Taylor Hickman of bsides (formerly B-Side Sessions) announced that he would be filming a series of socially-distanced live sessions with local artists during this time, dubbed the COVID Relief Sessions. Each live session represents a $50 donation made by the artist to the COVID-19 Relief and Recovery fund of Coastal Community Foundation. Matt Garber at For The Record has also donated his time and expertise to the cause and is mastering each session. The first session from this series was released last night and features John Brewster performing a stripped-down version of his new single “People Are The World“.

According to bsides on Instagram, the series has raised over $300 toward local COVID-19 relief thus far. If my math skill serves me correctly, that means that this session from John Brewster is the first in a lineup of six that have been filmed so far. Another one is dropping on Monday featuring the one and only Brett Nash of Secret Guest.

Taylor is still scheduling these sessions, so if you’d like to set one up first make your $50 donation to the COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund then contact bsides on Instagram (@bsides.sc).
