Keon Masters – “Feel Nuthin'”

Earlier this month, former Brave Baby frontman Keon Masters released his first official single as a solo artist called “Feel Nuthin'”. I say first “official” release because he did have a single on the 2018 Scene SC Sampler, but that was before we really knew that Brave Baby was finished, and at the time it seemed like Keon’s track might have been a one-off that was done just for fun. Now, though, Keon has announced a solo album called Many Thanks. No official release date on that record yet, but I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about it soon.

Many Thanks was created with help from a few of Keon’s longtime Charleston music scene friends, including former Brave Baby member (and current SUSTO member) Steven Walker who helped with arrangement and production. Another former member of Brave Baby, Christian Chidester contributed some guitar work, and Julius DeAngelis of the High Divers played drums on a few tracks. Matt Zutell of Coast Records handled the mix.

Check out “Feel Nuthin'” below, and catch Keon’s solo debut at The Royal American this coming Thursday night where he’ll be joined by 2 Slices. $10 at the door, show at 9pm.
