Human Resources – “Caught Up” (Video)

Earlier this week, Human Resources premiered the official music video for “Caught Up” off their 2018 album Champagne with Vents Magazine. For this video, HR linked up with Charleston-based animator David Stanfield, who has worked with Google, Coca-Cola, MoMa, and many more over the years. The band was stoked when David had agreed to make a music video for them, and they gave him free rein to interpret “Caught Up” however he saw fit.

The video for “Caught Up” marks the first video in Human Resources history that they did not create themselves. It’s fitting that they chose “Caught Up”, too, because that and “Sylvia” are the only two songs (off any album) that they didn’t self-record and produce. Those two songs were recorded at Rooney guitarist Taylor Locke’s Velveteen Laboratory in Los Angeles, while the rest of Champagne was done here in Charleston at drummer Matt Zutell’s Coast Records Studio.

Human Resources will make their triumphant return to The Royal American on Saturday, November 17th, where they’ll be joined by Mo Lowda & The Humble and Drew Beskin. The last time that Human Resources played at The Royal American was their Champagne release show, which sold out.
