Daddy’s Beemer – “Harvest Moon”

Daddy’s Beemer released a cover of the Neil Young classic “Harvest Moon” on Friday. It’s the band’s first release of the year and serves as a precursor to their upcoming album. The track was recorded and mixed by Preston Dunnavant and mastered by For The Record Mastering.

Daddy’s Beemer takes “Harvest Moon” and gives it an up-tempo polish that feels current, rather than regurgitating an old sound. The track is full-bodied, and Brady Sklar’s vocals swing effortlessly through the soaring flourishes that are his signature, bringing the song into a new sphere. The band’s pop-tinged garage rock sound compliments the vocal stylings throughout the track until the close, when they strip it back down to basics, paying homage to the song’s roots and drawing it to an easy conclusion.

“Harvest Moon is one of our favorite songs and seeing as 2022 is the 30th anniversary of its release, we thought it would be fitting to release our own version into the world,” the band said on an Instagram post
