Slim S.O.U.L. – ‘Late Graduation’

This past weekend, Slim S.O.U.L. finally dropped his album Late Graduation. The album comes a year after the initially planned release date of April 2019, but just like graduation: it’s better late than never. Late Graduation is the first album release from the Charleston-based artist since 2017’s Soul Power: The Prologue.

The album features old school production and bars rapped through Slim’s laid-back voice that always sounds like he’s either a little bit baked or he just woke up. The songs serve to introduce us to Slim, who for the past few years has been mostly under the radar or working with other artists like Abstract – that Rapper. Late Graduation is Slim S.O.U.L. featuring a few of his friends, not the other way around. We get verses from Abstract and Noah Jones on “Back Back”, and verses from MardySays on “I.T.S.” and “Stop The Car”
