She Returns From War – “Athena” (Live from a Mobile Balcony)

As you might know, She Returns From War is currently midway through a tour supporting Band of Horses. They’ve played some big venues in front of sold-out crowds in places where people would never have known about SRFW, like the 1500-cap Aztek Theatre in San Antonio, TX. During their journey out West, She Returns From War stopped through Mobile, AL and hung out in an Airbnb above a music venue called The Merry Widow.

Joe Chang (Gold Light) is playing with She Returns From War on the road, and he pulled out his camera up on the balcony there to record the band playing a stripped-back live session overlooking the city. They played “Athena”, which was our favorite song off our favorite South Carolina album of 2018, Mirrored Moon Dance Hall. Enjoy below.
