Twen: Sold Out at Mohawk (Photos + Recap)

On Saturday, November 15th, DIY road dogs Twen rolled through Austin and tore down Mohawk. They are hot off the release of the full-length album, Fate Euphoric, and fans came out in droves to see them, alongside Monsoon and Austin locals Prehuman.

Over the years I’ve seen a lot of DIY bands in dark music venues. Twen is one of the few I will never pass up the opportunity to see again. Everything I love about this band was on full display on Saturday, and it was the biggest crowd I’ve seen at one of their shows.

Twen are always well-practiced, they know how to work the crowd, the whole band has undeniable charisma, especially singer Jane Fitzsimmons, and the songs stand on their own two feet. It’s no surprise they’re getting the attention they deserve.

Fate Euphoric (2025)

Their new album, Fate Euphoric, dropped on November 4th and it’s been in heavy rotation at Extra Chill HQ. They have really honed in on this sound that oozes with “classic cool” and psychedelia, without leaning too heavily on any single genre of music. Besides, of course, rock & roll.

I’d recommend the whole album, front to back, but even more than that, I’d recommend going to see them live. They’re always on the road, so you’ll have a chance very soon. After the show, you’ll have your own favorite Twen songs, and probably a t-shirt.

Twen – “Tumbleweed” Video (2025)

During “Tumbleweed,” a standout from the new album, Jane invited fans on stage to be their “go-go dancers,” and at least 30 people packed the stage behind them to groove along. Another highlight for me was “Chase You,” because it’s my early favorite from the record.
