On Friday, September 12th, Samia brought her latest album Bloodless, released in April, to Austin for a show at Scoot Inn.
Hank Heaven opened the show with a trio and had a cool vibe, shared stories about some of their songs and had the crowd engaged as the venue filled up. Samia took the stage and everyone at Scoot Inn was very excited. She started the set with “Triptych” from her 2020 album The Baby as the crowd sang along loudly.
The stage set up was lowkey and cool- there were lamps scattered around the stage with no shade on and the bulbs changed colors to set the vibe. The crowd was really respectful and tuned into the performance. “Bovine Excision” song from the latest record Bloodless was really fun live. The weather was perfect for the outdoor show at Scoot Inn.
Samia had good dancing vibes on stage in the in-between moments during her songs. The song “Carousel” was also great live, I could really feel the impact of every hit in the song. Overall it was a great show with good energy from the stage and the crowd!
