Last Friday, October 25th, rising star Ricky Montgomery performed at the Charleston Music Hall with support from indie singer-songwriter, Nep. Extra Chill’s Maren McGuire was present with her camera, and provided some notes on the show.
Ricky opened with his song “Line Without A Hook”, one of his most popular songs. The energy was super high right away. Ricky interacted with the crowd, taking bracelets and videos on phones. He was at center stage, with the band behind a curtain which opened and closed for certain songs.
He called the song “Superfan” a Halloween tradition, and kicked off the night with “Mr. Loverman”, which is his most famous song (that went viral on TikTok in 2020).
