On Sunday, May 4th, Momma brought their latest album, Welcome to My Blue Sky to Austin’s Mohawk with support from Nashville’s Brennan Wedl and local band On Being an Angel.

Brennan Wedl was on the road with Momma for the first leg of this tour, with Mohawk being their final date together. She ruled.

Momma was sick. They sounded really awesome, the whole band seemed to be locked in. They had cool stage props that matched the aesthetic of their new album, featuring giant silver chains with hearts on their amps and wrapped around the mic stands. The venue was pretty full and everyone was vibing.

They played a lot from the new album, and I had their little sound bites stuck in my head for a whole day after the show.

Enjoy a photo gallery from Momma’s set below, and one from Brennan Wedl’s set below that.

I edited a lot of the pictures in a blue aesthetic to match the vibe of their new album too. I hope that’s cool. All photos by Mia Naome Al-Taher (@theladywiththechipsandsalsa).
