Midlake at Central Machine Works (Photos + Recap)

Midlake, the alternative indie band from Denton Texas, rolled into Austin to promote their newly released sixth studio album, A Bridge Too Far. Austin fans were in for a real treat.

To celebrate the release, the band stopped by KUTX for a radio session, then headed straight to Waterloo Records for an in-store vinyl signing and performance. But they still weren’t done!!

The night capped off with a full set at Central Machine Works for the “THE NEXT STAGE,” series: A free 12-concert lineup supporting Austin nonprofits and this show in particular was benefitting “Good Work Austin”.

Hitting the stage right at 8:40pm they rocked the house with new fan favorites, “The Ghoul” and “Bridge To Far”. And for over an hour, they hit fans with a nonstop 16 song set. Midlake delivered. New songs, old favorites, and a whole lot of heart. Austin got the full experience and it was all for a good cause!
