Houston trio Khruangbin returned to Charleston’s Firefly Distillery on April 15th as the third stop on their North American ‘A La Sala’ tour, named after their latest album which was released April of last year. They were supported by Helado Negro.
The band played a mesmerizing, two hour long set of psychedelia from their latest album combined with fan favorites, including “Maria También”, “White Gloves”, “Lady and Man” from their earlier releases.
The set was accompanied by choreographed movements and a thunderstorm interlude that shook the ground, transitioning the show from the foggy, hypnotic riffs to a brighter, more colorful end with “Time (You and I)” and a two song encore.
