On March 19th, Southern California’s DENM brought the HOT N GLASSY album release tour to Charleston’s Music Farm alongside Surfer Girl & Chad Tepper. The packed Wednesday night crowd was treated to an energetic night of genre-hopping rooted in Cali surf reggae.

Chad Tepper
Chad Tepper wasted no time. Walked onto stage and rolled right into his set. His band was dressed in Buc-ees Onesies.
The performance was energetic. His sound to my old ears, is a mix of 90’s/early 2000’s punk with some beach/surf vibe thrown in.
Great performer, fun show. Interactive with the audience, throwing some merch (t-shirts) to the crowd mid-show.
DENM joined him for one song.

Surfer Girl
Carter Reeves of Surfer Girl and formerly of Aer, is a powerhouse performer who knows how to make his energy contagious.
A skilled front man and accomplished songwriter with a new album releasing on April 18th. Cali-surf reggae style music with a hip-hop rap influence.

DENM
DENM’s appearance got the large crowd to move to the front and pack in. His music varies from a cali reggae beach standard to an almost ethereal ballad.
In his bio at Red Light Management they called it “genre-hopping,” and I think that’s apropos.
DENM called up John Shields of Little Stranger and Damn Skippy. John jumped over the pit barrier to join DENM on stage. (see photos)
