On Saturday, November 1st, Little Stranger brought it home to Charleston for Night of the Living Stranger at The Refinery, joined by Bumpin’ Uglies, Jarv, Damn Skippy, and many more friends. This day-late Halloween party doubled as the duo’s 10th anniversary celebration, and fans came out in droves to party with them.
Little Stranger have cultivated an overt friendship and camaraderie between artists, crew, and fans that continues to grow and expand. They are known to bring the party, and that’s exactly what they did at The Refinery.
The house was packed, including a sold-out VIS (Very Important Stranger) section that included a pre-show meet & greet with John and Kevin Shields. Damn Skippy kicked things off dressed as Teen Wolf, while the rest of the crew wore zombie costumes.
Bumpin Uglies killed it. Their crowd and Little Stranger’s crowd having a lot of overlap, so people knew the music for both bands and grooved right along.
By the time Little Stranger hit the stage, the venue was overflowing with excitement. They kicked things off with “Simply Business” off their 2024 album Sat Around Trippin’, and it was on.
They played selections from their entire discography, including deep cuts like “Queens of the Nile” (2016) and older favorites like “Sing It High” and “Girl III.” They brought a young fan on stage for “Sunburn,” off Trip Around Saturn (2021), and closed things down with the party anthem “Red Rover” from that same record.
Special guests on stage included: Toby Raps, James Begin from Tropidelic, Chris DiCola of Sandwich Boiz, Apollo Valdez, Dish Nelson, tour manager Dan Snell on harmonica, Loser Chris, Jarv, Damn Skippy, and more.
