Kuntry – “MDMA” (Video)

Listed as one of Sauce Carolina’s Top 12 In Charleston 2022, Kuntry (formerly Lo’ Kuntry) strikes again with another upbeat, trap-disco banger “MDMA” produced by BigBadBeats. I started listening to Kuntry a few months ago and he is definitely #GxldApproved all across the board.

“MDMA” starts with a short sitcom-like intro and opens up into a disco-pop, trap infused, temple of vibrations. The video is full of smiles, laughter, dancing and colorful scenes of Kuntry and friends catching a ‘That 70’s Show’ -like vibe.

This song is the epitome of the term ‘feel good’. The kind of moments when life has been a kaleidoscope of ‘wtf’ and we just need let go of inhibition…for a moment… and tap into the wilderness of indulgence and bliss. Whatever you envision that feeling to be, is encased in this song and throughout Kuntry’s ENTIRE catalog.

With his high-spirited music and hilariously slick persona, the afro wielding entertainer brings a fresh, yet retro take on experimental, pop based, hip-hop. He’s a cross between some of my biggest inspirations: Kid Cudi, Andre 3000, Ye, with a touch of Will.I.Am. Kuntry is a major vibe and he’s quite a spectacle on and off the screen.
