Runaway Gin Introduces “Brass Apparatus”: an Evening of Phish with Horns

Runaway Gin have just announced a very special night at the Charleston Pour House called “Brass Apparatus”: an Evening of Phish with Horns!

Taking place on Friday, January 20th, the show will feature Runaway Gin plus a three-piece horn section including Michael Quinn (Doom Flamingo, Motown Throwdown), Gavin Smith (Charleston Jazz Orchestra), and David Carter.

The band will perform two sets on the main stage featuring material pulled from the vast catalogue of Phish, starting at 9:30pm.

For Runaway Gin the past year has been all about spicing things up. We saw this with the Makisupa Police, Man concept that the band introduced earlier this year, which had them mixing in the music of Sting and the Police among the Phish.

Now, they bring in a high-energy brass arrangement with an all-star cast of musicians, adding yet another layer to the madness.
