Perpetual Groove Announce 20th Anniversary Edition of Sweet Oblivious Antidote, Share Single “Out Here”

Today, Athens, GA-based jam band and local favorite Perpetual Groove, perhaps better known as “PGroove”, released a new single called “Out Here”. The track has been a live staple for the band for nearly two decades, and it has finally been cut in the studio in anticipation of the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album, Sweet Oblivious Antidote.

“We’ve wanted to give ‘Out Here,’ the studio treatment for quite some time,” commented Perpetual Groove keyboardist, Matt McDonald. “It was great to revisit and rearrange this tune with a fresh approach. We all couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out and can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

Released in 2003, Sweet Oblivious Antidote marked a breakout for Perpetual Groove and they quickly became one of the most well-respected bands in the jam scene. Making a name for themselves with atmospheric grooves and a stellar light show, with a sound that continues to grow and evolve.

The 20th anniversary edition of Sweet Oblivious Antidote will be released in early 2023, featuring remixed and remastered recordings, and two brand new tracks. The album will also be pressed to vinyl for the first time.

PGroove are gearing up to hit the road this fall, starting on Friday, September 9th at the Georgia Theatre and following it up this Saturday, September 10th for two sets on the main stage at the Charleston Pour House. Get tickets to the Poho show here.
