Georgia VanNewkirk – “Picture You in Paris”

Charleston-raised, LA-based pop artist Georgia VanNewkirk dropped a new single, “Picture You in Paris,” on Friday. The song is VanNewkirk’s first release of the year and was co-written by VanNewkirk, Jenna Desmond, Jay Hurtt, Corey Campbell, and Noah Jones.

“Picture You in Paris” radiates an ethereal mood. VanNewkirk’s voice exudes dreaminess, but a deep, slow-building dance beat keeps the track from being too sweet.

Lyrically, “Picture You in Paris” is melancholy, and piano touches, some orchestral sounds, and a sprinkling of flute emphasize the emotion throughout the track.

Production choices at points in the song, like suddenly stripping away the instruments and leaving VanNewkirk’s vocals to shine, add sonic interest.

The track was produced by Jay Hurrt, Jenna Desmond and Corey Campbell, mixed by Corey Campbell, and mastered by Arborsound
