Smoke Gambino – “Kayla” (Video)

Columbia, SC hip-hop artist Smoke Gambino is back in action with a new single, “Kayla.” The song was released with a music video shot by I Want Juan (aka Juan Galarza) and is Gambino’s first music drop since his 2020 track “True Colors Out.”

“Kayla” is a straightforward rap track with a mellow beat. The song opens with a satisfying rhyme that repeats throughout the track: “I took Kayla for a ride / To the other side / Look me in my eye.” Gambino is shown sitting with a woman at a dining table counting cash.

As the song picks up, the video flashes to clips of the woman twerking in the kitchen, Gambino rapping outside of the house in a ski mask, and the two lounging on the couch with a dog. The vibe is laid back with an edge, much like the track itself.
