Katera Releases Debut Album, Fear Doesn’t Live Here

Singer-songwriter Katera, who hails from the small town of Dixiana, SC, released her debut album Fear Doesn’t Live Here on Friday. It’s an ambitious 15-song project that shows off the artist’s impressive gospel-style vocal range.

Fear Doesn’t Live Here features a playful blend of pop and R&B. Katera’s clear, expressive voice is the standout of each song. Many of the tracks evoke a sense of the soulful hip-hop hits of the early aughts, with exuberant beats and lyrical themes of empowerment. 

Katera is well on her way to becoming a vocal standout in South Carolina and beyond, as is shown by her sharing the stage with likes of Corinne Bailey Rae. This debut album furthers her promising trajectory.
