Doom Flamingo and Little Stranger to Perform Charleston Pour House Lot Concert

Poster by Aaron Utterback.

Earlier this week, the Charleston Pour House announced a banger of a concert experience featuring full sets from two of Charleston’s most beloved acts, Doom Flamingo and Little Stranger. The event will take place in the back parking lot of the Pour House on April 16th, 2022 with doors at 4pm and music starting at 5:30. More artists will be announced as the date approaches, including special guests and performances on the deck.

Early bird tickets have already sold out, but tier 2 general admission tickets are still available for $42.50. You can get your tickets here.

Both Doom Flamingo and Little Stranger have risen to the top of the local music community in recent years, and are each capable of selling out the main stage at the Pour House on their own. To have them both on one bill makes for one wild night.

Fronted by the queen Kanika Moore, Doom Flamingo play a synth-heavy blend of music that alternates between bright and sunny party vibes and darker, heavier moods. The band started as a spin-off project from jam stalwarts Umphreys McGee, with Ryan Stasik holding down the bass, but in recent years have emerged as a strong force of their own, with or without the Umph connection. 2021 saw the release of the Flamingo EP that showcases the lighthearted side of the band, while the Doom EP from 2020 offers the darker side of the music.

Little Stranger are the hip-hop duo featuring two brothers from another mother, John and Kevin Shields. The pair have made a name for themselves playing lighthearted, often reggae-influenced hip-hop that is all about having a good time. They have been steadily blowing up over the past few years and are now one of the most popular artists to call Charleston home, and the recent release of their new album Trip Around Saturn means that they’re armed with new tunes and ready to party.

With the big show announcement also comes the introduction of Doom Flamingo’s very own alcoholic ice cream flavor created by local brand Hardscoop, dubbed the Doom Flamingo Wildberry Boozy Sorbet, available in a 4, 5, or 6 pack here.

Stay tuned for more details about Doom Flamingo and Little Stranger live in the Charleston Pour House Lot, and snag your tickets here before they sell out (and they will).
