Avi Jacob – “New England Woman”

Folk songwriter and former Charleston resident Avi Jacob has just released a new single called “New England Woman”, the first to come from his upcoming album Naked, due out this year. This is the second release from Avi Jacob since moving back to his home region of New England, following the Preservation EP that we loved in 2020.

“New England Woman” draws upon folk themes of living a hard life, with hardly enough money to get by, but still trying to appreciate the beauty that does exist within your world. We hear Avi singing about working himself to the bone and the desire to escape on a rocket to space.

The track was recorded at Ghost Hit Recording in Massachusetts with Andrew Oedel, and features Ben Cosgrove on keys along with the Brooklyn-based trio ALMA contributing vocal harmonies.
