Today the new-to-Nashville dream-synth duo Full Mood debut their newest single “Orbit” via Cold Lunch Recordings. The track is the third and final single to come from the duo’s upcoming EP redsleep, set for release later this summer, and it follows the first two singles “Beats Me” and “2 U”. Full Mood find strength in atypical song structures, experimenting with tempo and mood changes while decorating it all with a whole lot of synth.

According to frontwoman Miranda McLaughlin, “‘Orbit’ is the perfect song to take minor steps toward ruining your life to. So go ahead, text that ex, start a fight with your roommate, or cut off all your hair. (For what it’s worth, Full Mood thinks you’d look great with bangs.) Let the track’s haunting, sweeping vocals and orchestral gut punches make you want to scream so loud you shatter every window in your apartment. This is another multi-part odyssey of a song that shifts through various tempos and atmospheres, and is arguably the most metal song on the album.”

The album she speaks of, redsleep, is the second EP to come from the duo, following the self-titled debut EP they released in 2018. redsleep was self-recorded and features themes of introspection and escapism explored through an experimental dream pop/rock lens.
