Bad Vessel, the project fronted by Luke Reeves of Dead Swells, just dropped a new single this morning called “Seismic”. The tune features Paul Nederostek of Dead Swells on lead/slide guitar and Wolfgang Zimmerman on drums, with co-production between Luke and Wolfgang. “Seismic” comes from the ten-track album that Bad Vessel has in the works, which according to Luke is almost ready to roll.
“Seismic” presents a longing to make a change, one that involves a decision that may feel disruptive at the time, however necessary it may be. This change would be, as the title suggests, seismic like an earthquake. The song ends as quickly as it starts, with an abrupt stop at the end that suggests the decision has finally been made to make this change, and we’re moving toward the next chapter in life. It’s got a nice flow to it, and the message is certainly one that we can all relate with. Make that change, folks!
