The Wormholes – “Temporary Vessel” (Video)

Charlotte psych rock duo The Wormholes explore the concept and dangers of an alternate reality in their recent video for single “Temporary Vessel”. The video, which the band wrote and directed themselves, follows a young man who is dissatisfied with his life, and finds himself presented with an opportunity to escape: The Jambus. Well, the bus came by and he got on, but it wasn’t the land of sunshine & roses that he had been hoping for. As it turns out, this alternate reality is pretty much the same as the one we’re currently in, because everybody else has already escaped to the same place.

“Temporary Vessel” comes from the album that The Wormholes are currently gearing up to release. It will be the band’s second album, following the release of Cosmic Propaganda in 2018. Yesterday they also released a live session featuring “Temporary Vessel” and “Transmission”, another single from the album. The session was filmed in December as part of the Queen City Streams series. Check it out here.
