Leone – “Everything”

Rock Hill’s emerging funk sensation Leone has just released a new single called “Everything”, his first new music release of 2021 and also his first collaboration with Joseph Levi, singer and lead guitarist of the alt-pop trio Cyan. “Everything” follows the April release of “2 Sharp” and will appear on his upcoming EP, Private Life, due out this coming Spring. The single comes paired with the release of Leone’s Sidebar Sessions performance at the Courtroom in Rock Hill.

“Everything” is a pop-funk dance track that wants to get you moving, while Leone sings about a special young lady who has everything he’s looking for. Leone caught our ear initially with his debut Angst EP back in 2019, and everything he’s released since then has solidified his place as one of the most charismatic and unique artists in the state. “Everything” continues to show us why that statement is true.

“This record is for everybody to enjoy, especially the ladies, I see a lot of women being undervalued and that’s not cool,” Leone explains. “When this song comes on, I want the women who listen to it feel special. In the song I’m a little vulnerable, which is okay to be, sometimes…then other times you got to know what you want and go after it…By the way ain’t nothing wrong with a groove that makes you feel good while also making you want to dance your ass off”.
