GASP – “High Talk Therapy (Orbiting)”

Back in November, Rock Hill’s GASP released their new album Left Hand Band through their Bandcamp, either as an exclusive digital download or on the upcoming release of tapes and CDs. Rather than putting the album on all streaming platforms, GASP have decided to unveil the tunes one at a time as singles. They’ve released a handful of them so far, with the most recent being “High Talk Therapy (Orbiting)”, out now.

“High Talk Therapy (Orbiting)” is the closing track on Left Hand Band. The vocals cast a dreary mood, and rambling guitars spiral downward, coming to a melodic peak in a chorus that brings to mind a subtle reminder of The Strokes. All of this is tied together with an almost dad-rock guitar solo that rides out the final minute or so of the track.

Here’s what GASP had to say about the single on Instagram:

“This song was written prior to the pandemic, and is pretty close to our hearts. It’s for everyone who has wanted to die and chose to stick around instead ????”.
