Florence hip-hop/soul artist Toni Esther has just unveiled the new music video for “Green Means Free” off her recent album Toni 2.0, which dropped last month. “Green Means Free” features a verse from J. Salt of Art Dealers Anonymous, and the video was directed by Z. Hooks. The video depicts Toni and J. Salt in two different settings: one dressed to the nines outside and the other incognito in hoodies in a parking garage. Of note is that when they load the body bag in the trunk it’s when they’re dressed to the nines. It’s like yeah, they’re chill but you don’t want to fuck with them.
“Green Means Free” has Toni Esther sounding like the female Curren$y, spitting with a relaxed attitude while in the meantime singing the hook with elegance. She is one of the most badass up-and-coming artists in South Carolina and this is yet another showcase of her talent.
