Katy Kirby – Audiotree Live Session (Full Performance)

Yesterday saw the release of Nashvillle post-folk musician Katy Kirby’s recent session with Audiotree Live. Katy is on the verge of releasing her debut album, Cool Dry Place, which will enter the world on February 19th, 2021. This session was recorded back in October and it was her first time performing in public since March. She stood there alone with her guitar and delivered a graceful rendition of five tracks off the upcoming album.

Katy has released two singles off Cool Dry Place thus far: “Tap Twice” and “Traffic!”, both of which are played here in a more quiet and gentle form than the studio versions. The Cool Dry Place versions are decorated with full band embellishments and bubbling pop production, while still maintaining the touching element of Katy’s vocals and lyrics. They are both fantastic and point towards the rest of the album being fantastic as well.
