Gladie Release Raw Nerve EP

Gladie are a Philadelphia-based indie rock duo started by Augusta Koch, who formerly fronted the band Cayetana. The debut EP from Gladie, Everyone Is Talking About You was released in 2018, but the duo were pretty quiet afterwards until Cayetana called in quits in 2019. Now, in 2020, Gladie have released three EPs and an album, including the Raw Nerve EP that made its debut on Bandcamp this morning.

Like the other two EPs from this year, Thank You Card and Orange Peels, the new Raw Nerve EP is just a short three-track offering. The songs are upbeat, punk influenced indie rock, coupled with elements of the more lo-fi, shoegazey side of the genre. There are two originals on Raw Nerve, “Got Nothing For Ya” and “No Call List”, plus a cover of “Song for the Man” by the Beastie Boys.

Check out the new Raw Nerve EP from Gladie below. Gladie first caught my ear with the experimental vocal production used on the song “Orange Peels”, so you should check that one out as well.
