Babe Club – “Automatic Love” (Video)

Today Babe Club released another single off their upcoming debut EP, Remember This Feeling. An early version of “Automatic Love” was initially released as part of the Scene SC sampler back in 2017, in the days before Babe Club became the band that it is today. The version released this morning was recorded at Big Trouble Recordings in Atlanta with producer Dan Gleason of Grouplove and engineer TJ Elias, as was the rest of the EP.

The “Automatic Love” video is a satirical take on the social media dominated world that we currently live in. It was directed by Jenna, and features the newest sensation in advanced technology: a wooden block fitted with a flashlight that is guaranteed to change your entire life.

The story in the video naturally represents a real life relationship driven and plagued by cell phone cameras. Jenna and Corey are so glued to the devices that they don’t even notice what is happening all around them, even while celebrating an anniversary. I know we’ve all seen, experienced, and perhaps been guilty of that at points in our lives, so we should be able to relate here.
