Today, Dead Swells release the second single off their upcoming self-titled full-length debut, set for official release on August 7th. “Always Thinking Bout It” highlights the group’s strength in picking up a glowing wave, hence the name Dead Swells, and the equally-appropriate neon-tinted logo. As always, frontman and songwriter Paul Nederostek shines on guitar, which you already knew if you came to Extra Chill Fest 2019, where Dead Swells kicked off night one.
According to the Glide article which premiered the track yesterday, Paul actually played every instrument except the drums on this album, and mixed the entire thing himself, with some help and guidance from co-producer Wolfgang Zimmerman. Paul also mentions receiving some additional guidance and confidence from the use of psychedelic drugs, which we at Extra Chill have no idea about at all.
“Always Thinking About It” follows debut single “Out of the Window”, which was released on June 12th. Listen below, and stay tuned for Dead Swells dropping August 7th.Follow @extrachill on Instagram!
