Paper Daisies – ‘In and out the Window’

Paper Daisies is the new project of South Carolina bedroom artist Tayler Bucich, formerly of Wallpaper. This morning, the debut album from Paper Daisies, In and out the Window, was released into the world. The album has a similar lo-fi feel to the music that Wallpaper released, and is experimental but in a more minimalist way. The psychedelic energy is still present, which at this point seems like it will be the case for anything that comes from the bedroom of Tayler Bucich.

The songs on In and out the Window are personal and reflective lo-fi folk songs. There is a sense of wonderment that runs throughout, almost like a child finding its way in the world, one song at a time. This is delivered very peacefully and gently, with no rush at all and maybe not even a worry. It’s a laid-back listen that fits in well with this lazy Monday afternoon we’re having over here at Extra Chill HQ.
