Cyan – “French Porcelain”

On Saturday, the Rock Hill dream pop band Cyan released a new single called “French Porcelain”. The single comes from the as-yet untitled album that the band is planning to release in April, and is their first new original since their self-tited debut EP was released last year.

“French Porcelain” is a warm, easygoing track decorated with vocal harmonies and a touch of saxophone that makes for a nice listen. They took the vibe that they had started to find on that debut EP and dialed it in to a much more coherent place here. The production takes a nice step up as well. If “French Porcelain” is any indicator of what their album will sound like, then Cyan is headed in the right direction.

Cyan has a few shows coming up this month around the Carolinas, including a big one on Saturday, March 27th at The Courtroom with Whitehall and Sky Driver for an Underexposed Film Festival afterparty. Facebook event for that is here.
