Persona La Ave – “Overtime” ft. B-Side & Youngster

Persona La Ave has just released another single off the collaborative album that he’s been working on with his roommates at their house on Isabella street in downtown Charleston. “Overtime” is the third track to be revealed from the project, which features contributions from fellow Charleston musicians B-Side and Youngster, and this time the added bonus of Clay White on trumpet.

“Overtime” continues the theme of what we’ve heard from the Isabella project thus far, offering a groovy electronic beat dubbed over with carefree vocal parts from several different vocalists. The vocalists you’ll here on the track include, in order, Blake Ratliffe (Youngster), Dylan Dawkins (Persona La Ave), Brian Hannon (B-Side), and Dan Truncellito (Youngster). It’s a fun song that sounds like the dudes just stayed up all night passing the mic around, which is probably exactly what they did.

According to Dylan, “Overtime” is his personal favorite off the Isabella album. The album doesn’t have a set release date yet, and Dylan says that at the moment he’s focused on releasing one song at a time and giving each one the attention it deserves.
