Ivory Keys is a hip-hop artist from Summerville, SC. Taking an “art imitates life” approach to his music, Ivory Keys sings about the beauty in ordinary situations. We’re stoked to have Ivory Keys kicking off Day 2 of this year’s Extra Chill Fest, on Saturday, November 9th at The Royal American.
Hailing from the College of Charleston music scene that spawned Whitehall and Abstract – That Rapper, Ivory Keys explores an authentic creativity that grows from the college’s fertile soil. Cutting teeth throughout Charleston’s underground house shows and dive bars, this performance is going to be a true glimpse into a part of our music scene normally only accessed by college kids.
Touting the Instagram bio “Making the mundane…magnificent” Ivory Keys drizzles honey-sweet melodies over slice of life lyrics, pairs it with an over-easy beat, and serves it to you with a smile. You could have these songs with breakfast, as a little snack, or even plastered after a night out with friends, and they’re going to be amazing every time. The authenticity of the writing and delivery makes you feel like you’re creating a bond with a new friend, all while dancing along to the tunes.
Whether you’re having a late night smoke sesh or turning out for Day 2 of Extra Chill Fest, Ivory Keys is going to put good vibes in your mind and a smile on your face.
